The Jacksonville North Pulaski School District has partnered with the University of Central Arkansas to offer the Gear Up Program to Jacksonville Middle School scholars.
Gear Up Arkansas is a college ready navigator that will assist scholars in planning their academic journey and find the path that prepares them for education after high school. The program offers the following:

- Skills Building Class
- Super Saturday sessions
- Summer programs
- Tutoring
College and Educational Aspiration Support
- Advising and Mentoring
- College Tours School site has a College-Going Culture
- Exposure to career opportunities

College and Career Planning
- Advising
- Parent Financial Planning Night
During a special kick-off celebration at Jacksonville Middle School on Wednesday, February 21, THV 11 News Reporter Rebecca Brown rallied scholars to dream big and work hard.
Brown is a graduate of Jacksonville High School and the University of Central Arkansas.
Sixth and seventh grade scholars learned about the GEAR Up program and received a certificate and t-shirt for their participation.
